Texas College & Career is a no-cost, one-stop, online college and career planning resource for all secondary students, parents and educators.
The new resource site www.TexasCollegeandCareer.org is available state-wide at no-cost to all Texas secondary students, their families and educators. During the 82nd session of the Texas Legislature, lawmakers appropriated funds for the creation of a statewide online college and career readiness portal to provide preparation assistance to students, parents or guardians, school counselors, mentors and educators. Texas College & Career provides the key components of college and career planning all in one centralized location that’s easy to use. It’s accessible online anywhere, anytime and is available to fully browse in English or Spanish. The site includes:
Interactive Planning Tools Texas College & Career has interactive planning tools and checklists, including intuitive portfolio and resume building, interactive self-assessments, compatible career exploration and helps search scholarships and analyze financial aid costs.
College & Career Search Tools Texas College & Career helps to customize college and career searches, collaborate on college and career lists, search 4,500+ college profiles and 1,100 career profiles, and to compare these profiles with student interests.
Communication Tools Parents and educators can connect with students to send emails and alerts to communicate important events and deadlines. Students can receive reminders on upcoming tests, scholarship or application deadlines.
Training is available at no cost for educators, families and students via the several online, live webinars each month. There are also recorded webinars for quick and easy download at any time for convenience.
