Admission to the University Of Texas at Austin

TO THE ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSED:
Subject: The University of Texas at Austin Automatic Admission Policy
Senate Bill 175, passed by the 81st Texas Legislature allows The University of Texas at Austin to limit automatic admission to 75 percent of the university’s enrollment capacity designated for first-time resident undergraduate students.
The University has determined that it will automatically admit all eligible 2018 summer/fall freshman applicants who rank within the top 7% of their high school graduating classes, with remaining spaces to be filled through holistic review. A letter from University President Gregory L. Fenves is attached to this correspondence.
This information should be shared with all high school junior-level students and their parents.

DeadlinesDid you know that some colleges have an early deadlines for admission? They may want a 5th Semester Transcript with class rank, GPA, and quartile. The registrar and I are working on transcripts and will have these available early February. Please request your copy from the registrar at least 3 days in advance.
College DaysJuniors are eligible for two college days to use in the junior year. We require 3 days advance notice to excuse the visit for a college day and it must be pre-approved by the counselor. Please come by the counselor's office to pick up a permission form at least 3 days in advance of your visit.
